This course provides a comprehensive and advanced examination of International Criminal Law, its foundations, principles, structures, and application. The course content will span across historical evolution, jurisdictional scope, core crimes, defenses, and contemporary challenges. It is designed to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the mechanisms and functions of international criminal justice institutions, such as the International Criminal Court (ICC), the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY), and the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR).
