Leadership is exercised through communication. Every strategic decision, organizational change, negotiation, presentation, team meeting, performance conversation, investor briefing, customer interaction, or crisis response depends on a leader’s ability to communicate clearly, credibly, and persuasively. Effective leadership communication is not simply about speaking well—it is about creating understanding, building trust, influencing action, resolving conflict, and aligning people around shared goals.
This course provides a practical, management-focused approach to leadership communication in modern organizations. Rather than emphasizing public speaking theory or academic communication models, students will develop the communication skills required by managers, executives, entrepreneurs, consultants, and organizational leaders. The course explores how leaders communicate with employees, customers, investors, boards of directors, business partners, regulators, and the public across both routine operations and high-pressure situations.
Students will learn how to communicate with clarity, adapt messages to different audiences, lead difficult conversations, influence stakeholders, facilitate meetings, deliver executive presentations, manage crises, and strengthen organizational culture through communication. Throughout the course, communication is treated as a strategic leadership capability that directly affects organizational performance and long-term success.
