INTERNATIONAL REGULATION OF TRADE IN SERVICES
This course examines the legal framework and principles governing international trade in services, focusing on the General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS), regional trade agreements, and other relevant international legal instruments. Students will engage in a critical analysis of the regulatory challenges and opportunities posed by the global services economy, the role of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and other international institutions, and the impact of trade liberalization on domestic regulation and policy-making.
