This course offers a comprehensive, advanced legal and compliance training program focused exclusively on Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs). In the post-9/11 regulatory landscape and under the intensifying scrutiny of FATF standards, FinCEN guidance, and global AML laws, managing PEP risk is critical for financial institutions, fintechs, trust companies, asset managers, and multinational corporations.
This training provides legal professionals, compliance officers, and financial institutions with in-depth strategies for identifying, screening, onboarding, and monitoring PEPs, with an emphasis on legal risk, regulatory enforcement readiness, and internal governance.
Participants will engage in hands-on corporate legal simulations including policy development, regulator response drafting, audit preparation, and client risk evaluation.
