
In this course, we will discuss the basic frameworks and principles underlying U.S. financial regulation, some historical context for the development of that system.
First, we’ll discuss the various modes of financial regulation.
In the next section, we’ll look at the major federal regulators and the types of institutions they supervise This will provide us with a brief overview of each federal financial regulatory agency.
Finally, we will discuss other entities that play a role in financial regulation—interagency bodies, state regulators, and international standards.
